Linda Hocking, archivist at the Litchfield Historical Society, will highlight examples of the types of research the paper helps inform, discuss their role in the town, and showcase the various articles, advertisements, and social news now available online. Peter Vermilyea, teacher at Housatonic Valley Regional High School and author of numerous books about Litchfield County, will discuss how he utilizes local newspapers in his teaching and research.
