Hazard Powder: The Powder Hollow Explosion of 1913, tells the story of the rise and fall of the Hazard Powder Company, one of the largest gunpowder manufacturing facilities in the country in the 1800s. Mr. Sorenson writes in great detail about the Hazard Powder Company, from its inception to its demise in a violent explosion in 1913 which killed two employees and injured many others and nearly destroyed the village of Hazardville, Connecticut.
