20th Anniversary Celebration of the Connecticut Freedom Trail Bike Ride and The Freedom Trail Quilt

Hartford, CT- On September 22, 2018, from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM, the Connecticut State Historic Preservation Office, Connecticut State Library, Museum of Connecticut History, Friends of Prudence Crandall Museum, and the Center for Latino Progress/BiCi Co will commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Connecticut Freedom Trail Bike Ride at the Connecticut State Library. The first segment of the Celebration will began at 8:00 A.M., with a Bicycle tour of several Hartford Freedom Trail sites.
Bicyclists participating in this event, will meet in the rear at the Connecticut State Library, 231 Capitol Avenue, at the Oak Street entrance of the building
All Bicycles will to have to be checked and signed in no later than 8:30am. The ride will leave at 9:00am, and return to the Library by 11:45am.
At the conclusion of the bicycle tour there will be a theatrical performance that will include several panelist who will portray luminaries of the Freedom Trail in the Museum of Connecticut History. Actors Marvin Jefferson, (Paul Robeson), Norman Marshall (John Brown), Dana Fripp (Marian Anderson), Donna Dufresne, (Prudence Crandall), Kit Webb (Mark twain), will answer questions and perform in their characters.
