Author and Photographer Anthony Riccio will lead a Discussion on his book titled “Farms, Factories and Families: Italian American Women of Connecticut”
(Hartford) Anthony Riccio has collected stories and photographs of Connecticut’s first and second generation Italian immigrants for nearly a decade. On March 17, 2016, he will discuss his book titled “Farms, Factories and Families: Italian American Women of Connecticut”. His book captures the words and images of early women immigrants who lived during the turn-of-the-century, working in sweat shops, farms, and markets throughout Connecticut. Rocco’s talk is part of the State Library and Museum of Connecticut History’s Third Thursday Brownbag Lunchtime Speaker series. This series features a variety of speakers on various aspects of Connecticut history. All programs are free and open to the public and attendees should feel free to bring their lunch.
