The Adoption of the Connecticut Constitution of 1818 and its relevance today with Wesley Horton
The year 1818 was an important year in the state of Connecticut: it was the year in which we adopted a state constitution. Although the Connecticut Constitution has been amended many times in the past 200 years, its basic protections remain largely unchanged. On September 15 from 12-1 p.m., Wesley W. Horton, Counsel to McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter, LLP and President of the Connecticut Supreme Court Historical Society, will discuss the adoption of the Connecticut Constitution of 1818 and its relevance today.
