Third Thursday Program, June 15, 2017, Katherine Noonan Will Lead a Discussion on the Poet Wilfred Owen

Poetry has been called a spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings, and there can be no area of human experience that has generated a wider range of powerful feelings than war: hope, fear, exhilaration, humiliation, hatred, and love for those left behind at home and on the battlefield. With a focus on World War I poet, Wilfred Owen, we will look at some of the most powerful poems written during wartime by soldiers.
